Performance

Infrastructure construction is a key driver for economic growth and employment, but it is also one of the main contributors to GHG emissions worldwide. JHCPB is committed to exploring the use of equipment, materials and methods to:

Improve energy efficiency
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
Use renewable energy sources
Reduce embodied carbon content of materials

During the review period, the Project produced 29% of the Project’s forecasted emissions (scope 1 and scope 2 combined). JHCPB continues to investigate pathways to reduce the carbon footprint of the Project throughout the supply chain, and the implementation of innovative methods, processes, and materials.
