Injury Prevention

Welcome to this month’s wellbeing focus – Injury Prevention.
The month of February we will be focussing on injury prevention. Below we have some great information on running strength training and injury prevention. A reminder about our discounted physiotherapy initial assessments also.
This month our free Boot camp will be starting up on the 14th of February, and our onsite Mental Health Professional, Ejaz will be here.

Project initiative - Boot camp

Looking for a new fitness challenge? or to meet new people and have more energy for the things you enjoy?... Come along and join us at Gym707 for a fun fitness circuit-based class every TUESDAY.

Our first class will begin on February 14 and last for 8 weeks in total.

Our free bootcamp session is available for everyone on the Rozelle Interchange Project. 

When: Every Tuesday 5:30pm - 6:15pm 
Where: Gym707 - 707 Darling Street Rozelle
What to bring: Water bottle, Towel, Awesome enthusiasm

How to prevent injury 

  • If you’re working in a physical role warming up and stretching before starting your shift plus undertaking some regular strength and mobility training are key pillars of prevention. Check out our latest stretching videos to alleviate back pain partnered with pre-shift stretching on site.
  • Even if your role is desk based an important part of injury prevention is fitness, strength training and stretching which can improve your energy levels, posture and alleviate tight muscles. See some strength and stretching videos and check out our fitness resources.
  • It’s also imperative that your workspace is set up correct especially if you’re working from home. See our working from home set up tips and ergonomic guidelines HERE

Looking after our mental health is just as important as our physical health. This month we have mental health professional, Ejaz visiting on site to conduct face to face check in sessions.
